My friend Shannon shared this with me last night:
A nurse in labor and delivery was checking a young expectant mother. "Is this your first baby?" the nurse asked.
"Yes," the mother-to-be answered calmly.
"Are you having any contractions or pressure?"
"No."
"Are you having any discomfort?"
"No."
The nurse was perplexed. "If you don't mind me asking," she said, "why are you here?"
"Because today is my due date!"
